It currently has at its peak with a large terrace on which stands a huge sculpture of the Virgin of Guadalupe, better known as the Virgin of the Valley of the strong.

Skirt road up to the Summit, should have commanded to do don Benjamín Francis descargaJohnston, who climbed to the top, filled his lungs with pure air and oteaba the horizon until you see the fumaroles of the chimneys of the factory, the unmistakable sign that harvest began and that the boilers were atizadas with arms of cacti, Owen settlers called it Cerro de la Memoria (Memorial Hill) because there began to bury their dead.

It is known that the first person inhumada was the girl manage to Nancy, who died of malaria. The Hill was, a sort of reference that guided them to know where their relatives were. Later, at the foot of the hill itself, the authorities raised the first municipal cemetery. Some years ago the Catholic faith led to the top of the Hill a huge statue of the Virgin of the Valley of the strong, who is constantly visited by believers.

It is the reference of the city. At its top was a lighthouse which had three million spark plugs and covered a radius of 150 kilometres. The lighthouse was air and maritime navigation Guide, while I greeted at night to the Fort Valley.
